The benefit of this 3 day cruises are (1) they are all within the reach of one’s pocket for as low as & 179 per person; (2) of course, they are almost always scheduled during weekends thus affording you to take one with the least of office work time off. Most 3 day cruises start late Friday afternoon and ends early Monday morning. Thus if one is near the port of departure, he will only miss a few hours of work. Typically, 3 day cruises leave port at 5:00 PM Fridayand returns to the very place of departure at 7:00 AM Monday morning. This assuming that one has already packed the night before Friday , can leave work just a few hours early and still have plenty of time for checking in and sail. If you don’t get that hang over after that weekend party and don’t have to unpack your clothes, you still can make it to office just in time for the first coffee break of the day.

1. 3 day cruises are offered on older ships as the newer ships are offered on those weeklong cruises;
2. Young working people usually take 3 day cruises because they cost less than those long cruises; and

3. These young people tend to be “wild” during these cruises because they are cheap and filled with people exactly looking for the same thing- fun.

3 day cruises are required to visit a foreign port of call before returning home at the United States. However there are not many foreign ports of call near enough to offer 3 day cruise regularly on a year-round basis. That is why the popular ports of departure are Miami and Fort Lauderdale but only as far as the Bahamas. Most of them go to Nassau but some go to Freeport. On the West Coast, 3 day cruises sail to Ensenada , Mexico a mere 60 miles just south of the border
